The North American Family Institute's Oak/Ridge Program is holding our First Annual Project Turkey 5k run/walk. The North American Family Institute (NAFI) has been operating a network of residential and non-residential treatment programs in Rhode Island since 1989. The network includes both juvenile justice and behavioral health programs, and has a long history of success in serving clients in the least restrictive environments. The NAFI Oak/Ridge Program is a residential treatment facility for adolescent males a variety of mental health needs.
Funds raised from the 5k run/walk will go towards supporting NAFI's Project Turkey initiative, which provides meals to needy families for Thanksgiving. This fundraising process also enables the residents of the Oak/Ridge Program to learn the value of being active community members through charitable giving.
The race is being held at Colt State Park, Rte 114, Bristol, RI 02809 Shelter 2. Check in starts at 8am with the race starting at 9am. The registration fee is $20.00 and can be found on eventbrite (please see the register here link).
