Event Description: The Mark Wood Celebration 5k will be held on September 26th, 2015 at 10 am on the URI campus to celebrate the life of Dr. Mark Wood, a member of the URI Psychology (Behavioral Science) department for 17 years, mentor, husband, father and friend to many Rhode Islanders and beyond. 

All race proceeds will benefit the Professor Mark Wood Memorial Endowment to support University of Rhode Island psychology graduate students in attending professional conferences (particularly regarding addictions and/or social psychology research).  

We welcome runners and walkers of all ages and abilities and hope you will come out to celebrate with us in honor and memory of Mark.
