Help the Southcoast Mentoring Initiative for Learning, Education, and Service (SMILES) create, support, and sustain mentoring relationships right here in the community! Grab your friends and family to form a team that will be fundraising champions for the Ninth Annual Miles for SMILES 5K Road Race & Walk on Sunday, April 23, 2017.

MFS logo BaycoastThe Ninth Annual Miles for SMILES 5K Road Race & Walk will begin at 9:30am and is a chip timed race that will take place on a closed course in the scenic Fall River Industrial Park, starting at 900 Riggenbach Road located in Fall River, MA. Runners and walkers must register at www.mfs2017.racewire.com. All pre-registered participants will receive a long sleeve commemorative t-shirt. Same day registration is available but participants are strongly encouraged to pre-register in order to receive a long sleeve commemorative t-shirt. Medals will be awarded to the first, second, and third place males and females during closing ceremonies.

The kids’ fun run will take place at 9:00am, and children ages 15 and under are encouraged to participate. Medals will be awarded to top runner based on age categories. Registration is only available the day of the race and a parent or guardian must be present.

SMILES’ greatest challenge continues to be obtaining sustainable funding necessary to properly support SMILES so that we can continue to provide quality programming throughout schools in our region.
