Starting at 11:45 AM on September 7, 2019, the Run Around the Block 15K Road Race is one of the oldest races in Rhode Island. The timed race is a hilly, winding run along paved roads beginning at Isaac’s Corner near Fresh Pond and ending at Champlin’s Marina where there will be food, drinks and a refreshing dip in the pool. Proceeds support the “Michael and Daniel Batchelder Memorial Scholarship” which is awarded each year to students from the Block Island School who played three sports while in high school.
