Isn't fall running the best? Sunday Runday, Marathon Training, and an Awesome Apple Coleslaw Recipe!!

Now that we're knee deep into fall, I love watching the leaves turn, the crisp cool air and seeing pumpkins and scarecrows everywhere don't you?  But how could we forget that it's also the best running weather and that the training is on full force for alot of us!  I hope that everyone was able to enjoy the gorgeous Columbus day weekend and was able to get out there and run!   I must say I was proud and impressed to see how many Rhode Runner friends where out racing this past weekend from the Ronald McDonald Women's Classic 5k to the Ocean State Rhode Race Half & Full Marathon, the Run for the Pumpkins 5k, Grog and Dog Jog and even the Newport Marathon!!  Isn't that so great?!

So as I had promised, here is an awesome recipe reccommendation from our lovely apparel Manager Beth.  She said this recipe is very tasty and that it goes very well with Ribs or anything for that matter!  I hope you guys enjoy it and let me know how it is!

In this weeks post, I also wanted to share what I've learned so far while marathon training as well as a Sunday Runday recap!

Oh boy these past two weeks have been so busy from long runs to the Ocean State Half Marathon.  Both of these weeks were filled with hills, hills and more hills!

Me and Stacia after finally arriving in Cranston at T's restaurant with our 20 miler complete!  Philly here we come!

Sunday Runday Recap

So two weeks ago I posted our upcoming long run route starting in Pawtucket on Pleasant Street and going up route 44 up through Johnston to Atwood Avenue to Park Avenue in Cranston.  I must say it was a really great run, actually it was my best and fastest long run yet!  There were lots of hills heading from Johnston to Cranston which was pretty rough, but I just kept reminding myself that these are the runs that make me stronger and on race day that ones that you remember.  If your looking for a one way trip from Pawtucket to Cranston with some rolling hills then this is the course for you!
